Let the trip begin...

Monday 7th May 2016

Today's finally the day, but not until 5pm  ✈️ so off to school for the girls & packing for us. Not before an emergency visit to the dentist for Hunter after loosing 1/2 her front adult tooth in a trampoline accident last night! Just what we need before overseas travel! 9am, the tooth is all fixed & the school bus headed for class swimming lessons waits for Hunter, thankfully, because she's desperate to make the lesson & see friends with her fat lip.

Ben gets migraine number 3 in 24 hours, the stress of an O/S family holiday is possibly too much...
Dad arrives at 1.45pm to look after things at home. Pick the kids up at 2pm, quick shower & we're off.
Smooth check in, farewell to Nannie Meisha & it's time to head.
Girls were sooo excited, they were brilliant on the flight, all sitting together & happy with a movie, iPads, colouring or journaling. Dinner time came and went with a dam mess, but all managed to get food in (lemonade mostly for Lola) & back to their activities.
Ben managed to move back to sit closer to us too (I hadn't booked my seat, so it was in row 13 & we were all in 27) & made a friend sitting next to him.

So many questions, 'have we landed yet', 'are we landing on wheels', 'what's that smell', 'why are we going on this bus', 'why are we all standing up' 'whose picking us up' etc etc
Customs was easy, believe it or not, no one tampered with our bags! 😉
We had airport transfers so Mr Bali was there with our name on a sign. Immediately 4 other men all dressed the same swoop in & carry our luggage. Bens thinking, oh how nice this is a great hotel already. I say, 'it's a trap, now you MUST pay them $$', he laughs, but sure enough after pushing our bags on wheels light as feathers 100m, they just stop & smile! We actually had no small change & they say, 'you go change here boss'! After finding $5 in his pocket they were happy. Bens still talking about it today, in disbelief. 😂
Our car is amazing full leather reclining seats, which was great as its 12.30am Adelaide time by now & kids are shattered! Lola & Hunter were out to it in minutes, Ava made the distance of course! Girls were on fire again once we reached the rooms, bouncing around, checking out the balcony, desperate to swim in the pools in front of them. We finally got them to sleep at 1.30am, an epic day after school & swimming lessons. But we made it & everyone is excited!!!
There were 5 in the bed...
